So I'm trying out Windows 2012 Server, and yes it's using the horrific Windows 8 interface but Server Manager is at least usable....Kinda.
So I've loaded up Hype-V, did a reboot, and then nothing....
Windows 2012 starts and then gets to a loading screen. Tried rebooting, still nothing. Did an F8 and booted into repair mode and still couldn't get it up.
So I do some searching and find that there appears to be a bug with USB 3.0 and Windows 2012 on systems using a Gigabyte motherboard....ah! Quick check on my test box and I am indeed using a gigabyte motherboard. So turning off USB 3.0 in bios and I'm up and running.
